Nthatuoa is a premium brand creates garments and accessories that allow for the preservation of the age-old skill of knitting and crochet. Founded in 2019 by Nthatuoa Makhapha Mohale, the brand is a namesake, Sotho, translated ‘My Loved One.’ The brand produces everyday sustainable knitwear staples.
The brand’s mission is deeply rooted in our commitment to sustainability, the preservation of cultural crafting skills, and the communication of a positive image for African talent and innovation. We strive to be a catalyst for job creation, while consciously and ethically creating garments that align with our values.
Central to our sustainability focus is the defence of fair wages for artisans. Nthatuoa firmly believes in providing fair and just compensation to artisans, acknowledging the value of their time and skills.
